Southern Pines, N.C. — The Tennessee Golf Association, in collaboration with the United States National Development Program (USNDP) and the USNDP State Junior Teams from North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and West Virginia, is proud to announce the inaugural USNDP Southeast State Team Showcase, to be held October 31 – November 1 at the acclaimed Quixote Club in Sumter, South Carolina.
The event will bring together many of the Southeast's top junior golfers for a regional competition, with players representing their respective USNDP State Junior Teams in both team and individual championships.
Each participating state will field separate boys' and girls' teams, creating an opportunity for the region's best young players to compete alongside teammates while representing their state against elite competition from across the Southeast.
The championship will consist of 54 holes over two days, with competitors playing 36 holes on Saturday followed by a final 18-hole round on Sunday.
The team competition will feature four-player teams, with the lowest three scores counting toward the team score each round. In addition to the team championship, individual honors will be awarded to the Boys' and Girls' Medalists, recognizing the lowest 54-hole scores.
"The USNDP Southeast State Team Showcase is an exciting opportunity to bring together the outstanding work being done by each state's USNDP program," said Brandon Hood, Assistant Director of Junior Golf & Player Development for the Carolinas Golf Association. "Our goal is to create a championship environment where players can experience the pride of representing their state, compete alongside their teammates, and measure themselves against the best junior golfers in the Southeast."
Hosted at Quixote Club, one of the Carolinas’ premier championship venues, the Showcase is designed to provide a high-level competitive experience that mirrors team events at the collegiate levels. The championship also strengthens collaboration among the participating state golf associations and their respective USNDP programs while creating another meaningful competitive opportunity within the USNDP pathway.
The USNDP Southeast State Team Showcase is expected to become an annual event, celebrating the growth of junior golf throughout the region and highlighting the talent being developed by the participating USNDP State Junior Teams.
